What organic means#
Organic ingredients are grown or raised without synthetic pesticides, routine antibiotics or artificial additives, following recognised organic farming standards. For meat, this generally also means animals raised with more attention to welfare and natural feeding.
This is different from terms like 'natural' or 'grain-free', which aren't regulated in the same way and can mean very little on their own.
Why owners choose it#
Our customers most often choose organic for their dogs for the same reasons they might choose it for themselves: health and wellness, fewer additives, and food that's closer to its natural state.
Many owners of dogs with sensitive skin or digestion also find that simpler, cleaner ingredient lists make it easier to identify what does and doesn't agree with their dog.
Our approach since 2016#
Organic Dog Chef was founded in 2016 by Executive Chef Gregoris Georgiou as Cyprus's first organic pet nutrition specialist, and organic ingredients have been at the heart of our meals, treats and care products from day one.
We've kept working with vets over the years to make sure our approach to organic nutrition stays practical and genuinely useful for the dogs eating it, not just a label.
How Organic Dog Chef can help#
Visit us in Larnaca, Limassol or Nicosia and we'll happily talk through our sourcing and what organic really means for the products on our shelves, so you can make an informed choice for your dog.
